Interesting, what guitarss you prefer the most with these kind of effect? I find single coils work best with vibratos while i prefer humbucker for chorus… don’t know why

When i want to try hyped pedals or new stuff i try to build them, there are amazing kits on site like musikding… Now i’m trying to design a mini sized DRV 1981, i’m waiting for the pcb manufacturer price to drop a little and then the first tests might start
Uuuh! Nice! Seems you have a lot of grounds covered! My friend is on a N4 quest
I was right about to throw 150€ on it from a friend… then i saw that there is an ALMOST 1:1 replica in a toneprint on the corona mini and i went for it… it’s not even a staple of my board, not even properly cabled, it didn’t make sense… but o agree, i think it’s the best chorus out there
Cool, i see a lot of people into this, the DM-2w, the carbon copy… tap-tempo-less/few-knobs delays that sounds generally good as you twist the knobs. I personally found my endgame day in the tape model of the Flashback II from TC with a tap hooked up, it has the lush and can be rhythmic.
What do you play mostly?
Sieguito@lemmy.worldto guitars@lemmy.world•Sunn Amplifiers – the brand used by Jimi Hendrix, Pete Townshend and countless doom metal heroes – has been revived with the help of FenderEnglish2·2 years agoI like this, although i won’t probably be ever able to use one of these at the volume they’re intended to be used. Still i like tha fusz

I love the three of them! Amazing players, the only one I haven’t seen live is Cory Wong and i’d die to get a ticket for him and the wongnotes
Sieguito@lemmy.worldto Guitar Pedals@lemmy.world•What's the deal with ampsim/preamp/amp-in-a-box pedals?1·2 years agoOne thing you might end with is a setup that allows you to have more or less the same sound regardless of the amp you’ll find on the stage; i had a friend that did it because of that… he’d set the amps flat when they had no fx loop and he ran his rig in front
Sieguito@lemmy.worldto Guitar Pedals@lemmy.world•State of the Rig - Amp and Board Edition2·2 years agoGreat board! This is what i’m aiming for. What genres do you play and what guitarists/band inspire you mostly?
Also, MXR CC gang 🤙🏼
I think there is a model that reproduces some supro tone, look into mooer’s catalog! :)
It is an actual preamp, so no problem with the line level… about the choice i understand, what amp do you use usually?
Hi,
If you intend to play without an amp/cab, the microamp is not your fit, that one is actually a booster of sort…
What you need could be one of the mooer micro preamp series, which has a modeler of a famous preamp with a built-in speaker emulator.
If you need further clarification just ask :) there is also a ton of resources on this topic online
I have a home rig, which is modeler-based and on which i play whatever i like in that moment, few ODs, Mooer Preamp Model x2 and TC’s FB2 and HoF2 I mainly play a general purpose NickJohnston-oriented modded mim strat with a jbjr in the bridge tuned in Eb, but also a prs se standard 22 with a kluson paf pickup in the neck and a JB in the bridge for the heavier stuff and lower tunings I have an Ibanez S1 xxv aniversary with pink dimarzio evolutions in the bridge and neck tuned to E standard which is the “practice/study/school-guitar”, but i find myself playing it quite seldom
In my rehearsal room i have a peavey 6505mh running into a hb212 with v30s, here i mostly play ambient or heavy stuff with a Cort M600 in dropC and use a boss ch-1 and a carbon copy along the amp built-in reverb for effects
I don’t think i’m very good at playing guitar, i’m a drummer primarily, but i’m always learning new stuff and i love a lot of genres, even though i tend to gravitate towards stoner/nu-metal/grunge stuff when i write/jam

Great initiative the one pedal-one post!
So, i was right about to open the wallet for this, new.
Then i’m usually a chorus guy and i left it at the guitar store… it was it though, if i had to buy a phaser it would be it
I think you should use turrets, the board has mounting holes for a reason
