I would of agreed with this when I was younger, now this just looks a bit sad to me.
If that’s what truly makes you happy though, then that’s also great and you shouldn’t feel bad for feeling as such!

As someone fairly new to Linux, other than this being messy and not following the standards, what else is bad about this?
What about if you’re a sexologist?
Is this an American thing? I’m so confused, what is this stew and why would someone blind a child, is this not child abuse?
This highlights that even starting the conversation of something that can work against you still allows you to have some control over the narrative, in this case over 70 years and going strong have they been steering this narrative!
So sad that they continue to work against the hope of preserving our planet and no one will stop them.
Is this a joke? I won’t be surprised if it isn’t but still, that just doesn’t appetizing
The bill does not name which platforms specifically the bill would apply to but says it would apply to anything that “utilizes addictive, harmful, or deceptive design features, or any other feature that is designed to cause an account holder to have an excessive or compulsive need to use or engage with the social media platform”.
Good luck stopping kids from moving to lesser known and non mainstream platforms. Furthermore, good luck against decentralized social media 😆
Something like this to restore the fun mindless games of the 2000’s is definitely needed. Basic HTML webpages with links to ad free browser games, the internet had so much fun free stuff for kids, now its like 5 websites that track your every move
I’m still not fully across Linux because my job requires me to use Windows everyday. That said I’ve been using Pop_OS! On my personal machine for over two years now and its been flawless, requires little upkeep and minimal use of the terminal, the times I’ve needed to install stuff using the terminal has also been flawless which gives me extra confidence.
Whatever gives the least complicated experience and just works with little extra work is what will win out in the end for the day to day user. People generally just want to get on their machine, use the programs they want and not be interrupted by anything else from the computer, barring updates, we have all come to understand the importance of updates as routine maintenance.
Shit like this is why I stopped using my TV connected to the internet. The way the TV’s also end up slowing down is so annoying too, just leave it off the internet and connect a laptop or pc
I’ve been running PopOS! for years now on a HP slice with 8gb of RAM and its still flawless and feels so modern! Making the switch was definitely the best thing I ever did
Sorry, I was trying to make a joke. I thought the idea of YT having a patreon channel was an obvious attempt at humour 😮💨
I’d donate to their patreon if they had one
This reminds me of something I’d heard about public transport operated by local governments, not sure how true it is but the theory makes sense. But basically the local public transport company ran by the local government, spends more on the infrastructure and enforcement of people paying fares than they get back in the fares themselves and that operating the services free of charge would actually reduce the cost of running the service.
Which when you start to think about how you need officers to spot check people on public transport, roll out the machines for tickets/smart cards, server infrastructure to run the machines, technicians to service the machines, IT staff to run servers etc etc it does somewhat make sense
And they don’t update the infrastructure, UK is also an excellent example of this and they are getting to the point that the government will have to step in to help them sort things out. All this so that a bunch of rich people are richer.
Except one is a terrorist organisation which is acting in retribution, and not on behalf of the Palestinian people by their choice. The other is a military organisation created and backed by the israeli government who is also acting in retribution.
It’s definitely not black and white and is extremely nuanced on both sides. That said the killing of civilians, intentional or “collateral damage” which let’s face it, that’s pretty intentional anyway, is still deplorable.
Are we all so devoid of empathy that we can wipe away the loss of human life because it wasn’t intentional? Palestinian people should not be demonised for the atrocities of Hamas, just as Israeli people should not be demonised for the actions of their government. The people on both sides who support the actions of those entities should however, be looked upon poorly, supporting genocide should always be judged harshly.
Despicable. Despicable that they would actively kill innocent israeli civilians. Just as despicable as killing innocent Palestinian civilians by the israeli military.
I’ve also noticed an uptick in channel 7 reporting this as a “youth crimewave” most mornings, then they have an interview with someone who’s house was broken into/car stolen… Then they cut to the local news and report similar crimes but it’s just a crime report and no victim interview.
Why is this the case only with QLD?
Registration? Wtf, unless its registered to a zoo. Otherwise why the hell would someone have a kangaroo as a pet in a residential area??
