Well 14 spoonfuls wouldn’t finish the soup even if it wasn’t raining so that’s definitely wrong.
I remember my wife looking for a web dev position in early 2015 and at one place they were adamant that 5 years of HTML5 in experience was mandatory.
Wikipedia says:
On 28 October 2014, HTML5 was released as a W3C Recommendation,[32] bringing the specification process to completion.
Edit: I know the spec was a work in progress since 2008 but it’s still kind of a ridiculous requirement. To put it in to perspective, my wife’s class was the first year that they trained on Html5 instead of 4.
Sabin10@lemmy.worldto Technology@lemmy.world•Startup Claims Its Fusion Reactor Concept Can Turn Cheap Mercury Into GoldEnglish172·1 month agoI read up on this the other day and their claims are 8 tons produced per gigawatt of energy consumed. Even if they manage a quarter. Of that, it’s enough to obliterate the value of gold. I doubt this will actuary go anywhere either way but it would be nice to see.
Sabin10@lemmy.worldto Linux Gaming@lemmy.world•I have finally gotten rid of WindowsEnglish0·2 months agoA lot of games are going to work without you having to do anything and some will need some tinkering. In that case, https://www.protondb.com/ will be your best friend, telling you exactly what you need to do to get things running.
That being said, some games simply can’t be run under Linux. They might work in the future as compatibility improves but some won’t. If it’s an issue for you, you might want to dual boot windows as a workaround.

It’s always a surprise. Maybe also ban parents from making social media channels that exploit their children.
Same here. I’ll take steps and in 10 years I’ll be set up to make more than the breathers even if I become a paraplegic.
The average human takes 20000 breaths per day. For comparison, the average American take 4700 steps a day so steps actually win since the break even point is around 4000 steps.

I like my job and have great coworkers. I could keep doing what I’m doing for another 20 years no problem. Wouldn’t quite be retirement age yet, nor would I have enough to retire but at least I tried.
103 hours in and one mission away from having nothing left to do. Amazing game and I can see myself doing it again in a year or two.
Sabin10@lemmy.worldto Games@lemmy.world•Which games do you dislike, but the rest of the world loves them?English3·2 years agoOOT is ok but most people that played wind waker or twilight princess first will have a hard time getting into it. Most 5th gen games have aged pretty poorly and need a solid dose of nostalgia to fully enjoy.

That’s asking a bit much. We’re talking about a fan base that expects mid 60s Luke to be the same, idyllic farm boy adid 20s Luke.
Well you see he’s a profoundly stupid man that sincerely believes tariffs are paid by the producer, not the importer and he’s so sure of himself that it’s literally impossible that he is wrong about anything, ever.
