I definitely hated Hilton in the 00s but she’s been a standup and model citizen compared to Lohan. Lohan has a family history of drug abuse and turned into a train wreck on her own. Hilton by all accounts is a decent person with nearly every controversy she’s in coming down to she’s from rich white money so cameras followed her everywhere. Supposedly she’s a huge amateur radio enthusiast.

There’s always been criticism but until now it’s been low level insiders and nobodies like pirate software. Now is the point where if you are an EU citizen that you write and call your representatives who would consider this issue and help write the law if it did pass on how important it would be to you personally to not allow game companies to revoke your ability to utilize a game you paid for.

I don’t know what you’re expecting to accomplish here. She spouted hateful things about a group of marginalized people, told that as a public figure she was not allowed to do that while on Disney payroll, and given an opportunity to save her job. She was being asked to sit down in a private meeting with individuals who identify as LBGT, not being forced to do PR work like hosting a fundraiser or having alterations to her contract obligating her to do screen work that she wasn’t interested in.

I would get fired from my job for making social media posts like she did, and there is absolutely no way my employers would be willing to say everything was forgiven if I just sat down in a meeting or had lunch with a handful of people I had indirectly insulted. She wasn’t being treated unfairly or being made to change her position on a subject publicly, she was being asked to stop spreading hate speech.

Death Gate Cycle by Wiess and Hickman (creators of Dragonlance) would make an excellent setting for an MMO or an RPG with world hopping bit and the interactions of the different races and potentially worlds depending what point in the timeline its set, to say nothing of the Serpent-Dragon war.

I don’t know what part about this story I hate more; she was good in the role and entertaining but refused to even even meet with LGBT individuals.

Or the fact that the mouse was entirely justified in their actions here after giving her two very easy outs to save her job. If the mouse looks good next to you during a conflict, you definitely fucked up.

Fusion is not inherently safe. It has significantly higher rate of neutron discharge for the enegy produced which can damage the reactor vessel and potential to cause nonfuel material to become radioactive.

Ontop of any power disruption of the system has the potential for radioactive plasma to escape with nothing even remotely equivalent of a SCRAM to bring it back under control.

The only reason fusion appears safe right now is because its all still developmental phase and any issues are being handwaved as prototyping issues and not treated like the actual potential catastrophes they are.

If anything has been consistent about fusion its always them desperately trying to spin babysteps and monumental leaps forward and trying to make themselves seem super clean and safe especially compared to fission.

We will have to get Jen Psaki in on it.
