Usually delivery and eating out ends up being much more expensive in the long run than cooking at home where you can buy things in bulk when on sale and store Ina fridge or freezer until you need it, but you need the space to store a lot of food which many apartments don’t have.

Pyr@lemmy.cato Programmer Humor@programming.dev•Remember not to broadcast your login credentials on national television10·2 days agoMaybe if licensing costs weren’t ridiculous I wouldn’t mind.
$15/m/user is ridiculous. Charge me like $100 a year for the license and then like $1/m/user on top. It literally doesn’t matter much how many users there are for many programs, no extra resources for the company. And if it does use resources it’s usually not $15/m worth.
I really wish people had to go to a driving test every 10 years and then get graded on how poor/good their driving skills are.
I feel like most people today have kids just because they feel that’s what they should be doing or because they just want a kid. I feel having kids is almost, incredibly selfish? If that makes sense.

They have no shareholders.
Corporate stores need to show consistent growth in profits, not simply consistent profits.
Employee owned stores can at least get by without making more profits year after year, as long as they make enough to pay themselves and keep up with maintenance.

I don’t see why they had to change the font, at least the C had character. Now it’s the most boring plain forgettable font imaginable and black at that. It’s like they didn’t even try.

They were saying in this particular case, being deaf and blind in conjunction to a lot of other very serious shit means they will never lead a fulfilling life. They are developmentally equivalent to a 10 month old baby at the age of 4. Who knows how much more development he will see, or if he will ever be able to walk.

Perfect for mosquitos. Always have a little bit of still water, lots of algae/grass clippings/leaves to munch on, and no natural predators to feed on them.
Each one has the potential to crank out a few hundred mosquitos each week.
