  • As another has commented, medical devices (and especially pacemaker systems) are well regulated, such that misuse or illegal re-selling of patient health data is not worth it for most companies.

Cybersecurity is a big topic in the industry now and life-sustaining systems are scrutinised much more closely these days. I wouldnt be worried, but you can ask the company directly if you are still concerned.

  • Don’t get me wrong, the tipping system (among numerous other aspects) is a joke for customers, But it has massive benefits if you end up in the right job, in the right restaurant.

Absolutely no idea how many end up in the same situation, maybe the minority, but all the servers I met travelling (especially girls) would make many times more than anyone working the same job in Europe for less hours.

Plus, we have tipping in most European cities I’ve visited… Most waiters I know are on minimum wage and only survive via tips. Is it different for you?

  • The Tories have literally just stolen conservative Australia’s early 2000’s immigration policies. Offshore “processing” which never actually happens, hardline “stop the boats!” which in reality is just “ban journalists talking about the boats” and “break down the smuggling gangs” which ends up just being “throw money at a foreign regime to enable our companies to exploit their resources via shitty contracts”.

If this had anything to do with bringing order to the asylum process, it would involve providing resources to said process.
