MrKaplan@lemmy.worldMto Lemmy.world Support@lemmy.world•[Resolved] My instance is behindEnglish1·15 days agoHello,
we’re continuously getting timeouts from your instance when trying to submit activities.
It looks like we’re being blocked by your server at regular intervals:
You’re probably using something like fail2ban that keeps banning servers trying to federate to you.
hello,
based on your other post, which has since been removed by moderators of that community, it seems that you are looking for the !perchance@lemmy.world community instead of this one.
you’re not going to have much luck here, as here people won’t even understand what you’re talking about.
MrKaplan@lemmy.worldto sh.itjust.works Main Community@sh.itjust.works•NSFW community bug?English5·18 days agothat’s because SJW is still on 0.19.11. 0.19.12 fixes this by forcing new posts in NSFW communities to be NSFW. see #5649. the UI change made it in 0.19.11 already but the backend change was broken and not backported.

if you’re talking about the image issue from this post, I have no plans to work on that as we don’t use the image proxy but if anyone wants to PR that they’re more than welcome to do so.
pretty much, yeah. different people, different programming languages, some feature differences, etc. but still the same content.
MrKaplan@lemmy.worldto Lemmy Apps@lemmy.world•Mlmym (also known as old.lemmy) isn't maintained anymore, and features are starting to become unusable as instances are migrating to newer versions. Would someone be interested in forking the project?English2·3 months agoI’ve started changing some smaller things over on Fedihosting-Foundation-Forks/mlmym. I don’t really have time, motivation or Go knowledge to fully maintain and develop new functionality there, especially as I don’t use it myself, but I’m currently planning to keep it on life support at least and see if I can at least fix some stability issues.
I also already forked and updated go-lemmy, which should now support the latest Lemmy 0.19.11 APIs.
Currently the primary focus for this is to have builds for old.lemmy.world, but I wouldn’t be opposed to have this used as a generic repo if other people want to contribute. I’m currently not planning to intentionally break things in a way that would prevent usage outside of Lemmy.World, but unless there are other people interested in contributing as well, I will primarily just focus on ensuring compatibility with the Lemmy version we are running.
of all the scrapers we see, the requests identified as originating from Meta seem to be well behaved overall. they appear to (mostly) be respecting robots.txt where present and their request volume to Lemmy.World is only averaging slightly above 5 requests per minute over the last 2 weeks. they also don’t spoof their user agents to pretend to be web browsers, or at least I have not seen credible accusations of this happening.
