Deeply religious people should not be judges. Their judgement is inevitably biased. People’s lives should not depend on the religious choices and opinions of people in power.

They already get so much financial support from governments, and they pollute so much. Time for reforms.
There is no such thing as humane slaughter. The whole process is inherently violent.
Religion: condemning love between adults and approving of marriage between adults and minors.
Ah ok thank you!
I don’t understand, what’s the problem with the number 64 now?
Well f*ck you. Why should others pay for your selfishness.
Nor Quatar nor the USA are extremely poor countries though
The Christian west is already extremely hateful on its own. There’s no hate like Christian love
You can take action without revealing your sources. Journalists and police officers do it every day. Politicians and businesses do it all the time. Yet the all powerful Catholic Church did nothing.
They don’t pay taxes to the city of Rome either, despite using our services and infrastructures: they use Rome’s sewage system but don’t pay for it, they use Rome’s garbage collection system but don’t pay for it - we are talking about private homes, not just churches. They don’t pay for the police service, streets maintenance and so on. The Vatican is s literal parasite of the city of Rome and the Italian nation as a whole. They are not an independent state, they depend on us for everything, hence they should pay taxes for the social services they use.
I’m from Italy and several of my friends are teachers: parents nowadays are so abusive towards teachers, they will blame the teachers for their lazy child’s low grades. It’s the teacher’s fault if the child fails tests, or if is unruly and gets reprimanded. Parents never blame their lazy, videogames-playing, social media-browsing kid for failing tests, nor they take responsibility for not ensuring they do their homework. They wait for the teachers outside the school to attack them, they criticise them with the other parents, they complain with the principal, they even move kids to other schools (where the cycle starts over)… everything but owing that their child just doesn’t study enough. Fanatical parents are a real issue
Parmesan must be the best cat name I have ever come across! Brilliant!
Looks more like a peacemaker ❤️
Is this AI generated? The light is so odd
That’s an amazing set up, yet a very unimpressed cat 😂
“You are not leaving again! I’ll hold you down!”
We have herons in the pond by our house, there is always only one at a time, we named it Gervaso, a very distinguished name for a very distinguished bird!
Squirrels nesting against your window is basically a 24/7 personal wildlife theatre… to me that’s extreme luck!
Being a woman, or a queer person, or ethnicity are not belief systems, they are biological traits. Even financial status is not a belief system. Religion is a belief system by definition. Like politics are. But politics can be studied historically and analised socially and economically, and can be chosen based on data and evidence. Religion is a belief system based on no evidence whatsoever. Religion is akin to superstition: a belief unsupported by evidence. There are thousands of religions in the world, each one believing different things, each one claiming to be The Ultimate Truth and - what’s worse- to be above human laws. Picking one is completely arbitrary (usually determined by upbringing). Judges working under the influence of different religions rule differently on the same topics.
I’ll prove you that qualifications alone are not enough: if I had the appropriate qualifications to become a Supreme Court judge, but I claimed that the Sacred Pink Unicorn, supreme Goddess of Truth, guides my judgment and speaks to me in my dreams and tells me what’s wrong and what’s right, would you consider my impeccable qualifications enough? The only difference between the Sacred Pink Unicorn and any other deity is the number of people believing in it.
A judge who is spiritual may still maintain objectivity, but a judge who is deeply religious cannot be trusted to be objective, in my opinion.
