I’d recommend using “password” as your password and “root” for the username. Attackers have a lot of stuff going on! Don’t make their job all complicated, make it easy to remember.

Older operating systems like a really old Linux distro or Windows XP are the best, since their performance requirements are a lot lower, giving better overhead for the crypto miners that will be installed. Modern OSs waste resources on security features and such.

I think this has been going on for quite a while. my 2010 Toyota I believe has a mobile data unit, but only has 3G and is thus forever unable to phone home. With a new car, you could just remove the mobile data module and not allow it a WiFi connection or anything, then it has no way to report to Toyota even if it wants to.

Worse, RCS isn’t always E2EE. After Apple begrudgingly added it to iMessage, they’ve made sure that iPhones don’t support its encryption, and I don’t think they display reactions and such properly. Meaning a group chat with a single iPhone in it can’t be encrypted.

That and the annoying dependence on carrier and proprietary software support - even with google messenger I’ve had RCS just give up sometimes and go to SMS only.

At this point, using an actual E2EE messaging system like Signal makes a lot more sense.

The worst part is, Spectrum call agents will just try to sell you on more stuff. When I signed up (no choice for internet where I was), they offered an introductory rate on their website for internet only, but forced you to call them to sign up. Of course, in calling, they insisted I get a package with internet + cable + streaming, and it took a while to negotiate just internet. I mentioned the offer, and made sure they promised I’d get the promotional rate.

Lo and behold, my first month bill happens and no promo rate to be seen. It took another phone call to fix that.

I just recently canceled - they demand your new address (for mail forwarding??), they want to know your internet/cable/phone there, etc. so they can try and convince you to transfer. And, if I know someone else moving in I can transfer to them so they get a promotional rate (I guarantee their new-customer first year rate would be cheaper).

The only part where they didn’t try upsell me was in returning their modem, which was pretty seamless (unless they try charge me for not returning it, I feel like they’d do that).

Oh, and of course I still get “hand-picked” “exclusive” offers “just for me” every day in my email.

I mean, bendable glass is a thing, but that’s in optical fibers which are not suitable for a flexible phone display.

I could imagine some construction that uses a lot of small glass pieces that don’t flex, but move past each other, perhaps. But that would probably have optical challenges and be expensive to make.

My opinion is “Why would I want my phone to bend? Also wow that’s so expensive.”

A while back they made goofy claims about their display being “bendable glass” and how they’re “bending the laws of physics.” It was (at least on the surface, which matters to users) still soft plastic… I have little faith.

Looking some stuff up, it seems like stable diffusion takes text input, converts it into this CLIP embedding, and then converts that into an image? I think the weird characters here are referring to stuff in the CLIP embedding. That said I really don’t know.

“Helico” sounds like it could be a delightfully antiquated-sounding clipping of helicopter. Perhaps some Victorian gentleman is ushering you into the helico.

It would at least be interesting if one was writing a similar world, but wanted more unique language.

“Get in the 'pter” is a bit more clumsy though.
