Denmark has absolutely done many awful things in Greenland, and I am the first to argue for actual equality and reparations for transgressions.

But they are not, politically, a colony at all. And reducing the question to be about a currency unit (which is pegged to the euro btw), is simplistic and disrespectful to everyone involved.

I mean, it’s not. Greenland has self-rule and parliamentary representation, and a generous bag of cash for running an arctic society delivered every year.

What they don’t get a lot of is respect, which is unfortunate.

I’ve never vacationed in Germany, mainly because my wife does not speak German. I do want to go, though, I have a feeling that there’s a lot of regional culture and food to discover if we just gave it a go.

Hehe, I’ve been to Paris twice, and to Bordeaux, Montpellier, Hauts de France, and surrounding countryside as well. This year we’ll drive to Alsace-Lorraine and visit the Vosges. I’ve liked every visit 🙂

I was in Bordeaux with my family for the world cup in 2018, it was a great experience even with thousands of people and us with two toddlers.

Well, Danes are also famously direct, so I think it comes off as pretty normal to us. No need to waste too much time beating around the bush.

Sure, happens in Denmark too as the nurses and teachers are painfully aware of. But that’s also (philosophically) a breach of the model, and usually only happens when the workers work for the government.

High degree of unionization (90%+), no state interference in negotiations between worker unions and employer unions, fixed term 4 year collective agreements, a broad understanding by both workers and employers that everyone has an interest in a strong economy and a flexible work market.

Funny thing is that some tesla representative wanted a meeting with someone from the Swedish government and they flat out refused, saying that this was between the workers and employers unions.

Shows Tesla doesn’t have any clue how the labour market works in the Nordic countries.
