Exactly, I pointed it out because soviets often try to steal all the achievements of the country - same as in this meme, a horde of russians came and built for poor, dumb baltic people all the stuff. In reality, it’s much more complex and those constructions were built by local workers, local architects, etc. With russian money I guess but that begs the question - who should get credit for those buildings then?

Who built those hospitals, schools, libraries? Russians or the people of baltic countries?

I vaguely know about Black lives matter/All lives matter situation (I’m not from US) and it looks like you’re implying I’m some racist, bigot, right wing asshole. All I can say is - I am not.
And when I think about it, I hate that the right achieved that any discussion on this topic is immediately shut

It’s actually very simple
- Fry onion on oil
- Add 1kg of any mushrooms (in my case it was oyster mushrooms + champignons, roughly 1:1 )
- Fry a bit until mushrooms reduce their volume
- Add 3 tbsp of ground paprika, a bit of ground cumin, salt and black pepper
- Cover the pot and cook for 10 min
- Add mixture of 200 ml almond milk + 200 ml soy cream + 2 tbsp of flour
- Cook uncovered for another 10 min
- Done. The dumplings are just a mixture of 350g of flour and 300 ml of water (and salt)
And it was absolutely delicious :) I was actually surprised how good it turned out
EDIT: Original recipe in Slovak if it helps. I did some changes though (f.e. replaced butter with oil or used regular flour for dumplings)

Oh, typo :) Thanks, fixed
This. To put it simply, people respond better to what’s familiar and to what has a clear goal. F.e. if you’re about to open a restaurant, don’t sell power tools in it. If you want to sell powertools, create a separate store
EfreetSK@lemmy.worldto Map Enthusiasts@sopuli.xyz•European countries where the capital is the most visited city3·1 month agoUnfortunately yes for Slovakia. I mean I like Bratislava, I lived there more than a decade, it’s nice but … I feel like we have so many more interresting cities. From top of my head Banská Štiavnica and Bardejov (both UNESCO city centers) or personally I really liked Trenčín and Banská Bystrica, or Poprad being next to Tatra mountains …

The identity of Henry Symeonis was only (re-)discovered in 1912 by the then Keeper of the University Archives, Reginald Lane Poole. In an article for the English Historical Review, he looked at the curious statute and tried to get to the bottom of the Henry Symeonis mystery.

Yes, well this is basically Russian
diplomacypropaganda 101 - “I did this and that for you and now you’re ungrateful”. Similar stuff abusing husband says to abused wife. Basically if russians helped you in any way in history, you’re supposed to be their vasal until the end of the universe, there’s no expiring date on that. It’s abusive and disgusting
