Bristlecone@lemmy.worldto Map Enthusiasts@sopuli.xyz•Net Favorability of U.S. StatesEnglish91·5 days agoAlaska makes sense as the most popular in perception I suppose
Edit: I didn’t even see Hawaii there! Just popular due to tropical features judging by comparison to other politically aligned states, and those with similarly extremely racist backgrounds
Among other things
Heeeeeeell yee boi. You got a colander on your head in your driver’s license photo? That is legal too! I Love taking moral stories from religious text but never taking the texts themselves in the literal sense!
This is right, it started as a letter to a school board who was going to enact religious education in a public school. Obviously intended to teach Christianity, the original author of the letter was absurdly excited to come and teach the children about the flying spaghetti monster.
The gospel is just: “don’t take religious text literally” everything else is just for fun and jokes. There are extremely few people who are serious about it, my brother. I’ve never met one and I’ve been a pastafarian minister for like 12 years
Pastafarianism! I’ve performed 5 weddings in his name 😁 not to mention my own is touched by his noodly appendage every day
I was going to say I would have calculated out and either an even lower option and written it in and then tipped that 😂

A lot of people have just convinced themselves that nobody’s perfect so it’s okay for them to be a massive piece of shit, too. There’s a lot of people who are not trying to grow or improve

The vast majority of the population does not agree with any of these political elites anymore, so it’s not really about sides, the side doing all this is inordinately represented by their abuses of the system, and bombastic and offensive nature of their most zealous, they are not actually equal. These particular people have also been advocating violence for their compatriots for decades if not longer, so reasonable people across the spectrum are way behind the curve as far as their willingness to speak this way about violence as a last resort. It’s normal at this point for conservatives to be heard calling very directly for killing progressives, particularly when only zealous conservatives can hear them
