  • Oh, they definitely can, irrational hatred knows no race. Thanks for sharing and I’m sorry about your very shitty experience. I have been lucky enough never to experience real racism (besides people calling me any and every racial slur online, but that’s expected playing League/surfing the chans, lol). And I’m very glad to see it hasn’t deformed you! ❤️👍

  • No, but Persona 3 came close.

    BEWARE, CONTEXTUAL SPOILERS AFTER THIS

I mean, it’s a very Jesus-inspired story (I wasn’t religious at the time but having a self-sacrificial nature is always touching), starring a dude who is less ‘social butterfly everyone knows and loves’ and more ‘asocial newcomer who feels somewhat annoyed with life/slightly suicidal’ and then there’s friendship and he finds the value of life. Bretty gud, 10/10, would definitely recommend the remake that came out recently.

Same. I’ve used it to write fake bios for characters in single-player, party-based games that required them. When it comes to producing words regardless of their connection to reality/truth value, it’s been solid. I still felt slightly icky when I learned about their energy consumption though…

  • It’s just nonsense for people who are too asocial and alien to the human experience to make sense of the world and feel better about themselves by having some sort of binary ‘strict goals’. You’re supposed to be somewhere ‘in the middle’ for best results: kind but not a doormat, confident but not arrogant, engaging but not domineering, etc etc.

  • IME, the more verbal and sentimental you are, the more you’ll enjoy words in your music. On the other hand, if you’re more appreciative of the ‘mechanical’ nature of the world, you’ll probably prefer fewer words.

Good examples would be Latin American/Mediterranean romantic ballads on one end and Western classical music/ Germanic rock/Swedish electronic music on the other, with funky lyrical jazz like Jamiroquai and Japanese city-pop somewhere in the middle.
