I’ve been using it for a few weeks now, and it seems really great. it’s nice seeing actual progress and improvements in the mobile app. The glacial speed of Stoat had me pessimistic that anything could replace discord, but Fluxer’s honestly already there. The screen sharing and video calling just needs some work (and also federation!)

I drink the water, which I apparently need to live or something, then I have to go put the water somewhere else five minutes later. I drink the water, I go to a place to un-drink the water, I wash my hands, I leave, then I have to drink more water. guess where that water ends up? not in me! I give the water to my body and like a child it tosses it out and demands more.

if I remember correctly you can’t use it on your psychic traits, yeah. But since they all level up as your ego gets higher, it’s not too big of a loss.

They might’ve patched it, but there’s a way to save scum with precognition to farm ego I believe. Since there’s a chance to absorb ego from esper hunters, you get just enough psychic glimmer to have them start spawning but very weak, run around the salt dunes until one spawns, then use precognition and kill them, going back in time if you don’t absorb their ego, and repeat. Don’t abuse the power too much though…

I feel like doing an esper run is a fun experience, but after a while the constantly appearing esper hunters get tiring to deal with. They even spawn in certain end/mid game story areas that you’d think should be peaceful…

I’ve had a lot of fun with true kin. though whatever I play, I find I end up leaning a lot into tinkering/crafting.

normality gas grenades are my go-to, but honestly if they’re too troublesome I try to just avoid/ignore them

yes but as I said elsewhere in the comments here, last I tried it the emoji picker didn’t show custom emotes. To use them you had to specifically type out the emote name in colons 😔

Sure Matrix supports custom emotes, but clients’ support for them is still spotty. Element X didn’t even show them at all when I tried, and fluffy chat would let you see them but had no emote picker. you just had to type the name into chat between colons

I don’t know what you’re trying to imply, but yes custom emote support is that important for me and my friends

Matrix is cool but the lackluster custom emote support on mobile clients is kind of a deal breaker for me

If they had a super cheap $1 tier just for being able to use custom emotes anywhere, I’d honestly love that. Though I feel like the $5/month for Plutonium is a lot better than $10/month that discord nitro goes for

I’ve been trying Fluxer recently and it’s been really great. though not as nice as Stoat with emotes, they still give 500 emote slots and 500 sticker slots for servers on the main instance. The mobile app that recently came out are a bit rough around the edges, but works well enough to replace discord for me (if only I could get all my friends on it…)

yep! you can even turn on a notification sound for messages in the current channel while the window is focused

I’ve been using this one for a while too! I really quite like it. It keeps all the clutter off my wallpaper, but I’m still able to access everything just by swiping in a direction
