Why would you post this while Americans are sleeping? These posts are clearly about flexing on the yanks.

Since I started using a VPN, I’ve started seeing that option more. Even still, lots of sites aren’t compliant.
I have 40 minutes in google earth flight sim if that guy is sleeping.
Before you ask a question, you must read the 10 page essay on how to ask questions. Asking questions is serious business after all, we can’t have people doing it incorrectly.
I did somehow manage to ruin an SSD when trying to set up dual booting. I couldn’t actually read the data off of it after whatever nonsense I did. After reformatting it a few times to no avail, I gave up on it.
I probably should have tried reinstallling the firmware on the SSD, but I had it at that point. Even so, the PC still worked. After convincing the computer to boot off of the original drive, I had no issues.
Starfield: Sorry, but you have to change your gender to fix your weapons.
This sounds like a question for Randall Munroe.
Neither CEOs nor Boards are less accountable IMO. That just explains why they behave the way that they do. In a better world, there’d be incentives for those in power to do the right thing, but it just doesn’t play out that way much of the time. It’s probably because it’s hard to design those incentives well in the first place while simultaneously preventing bad actors from ruining it.
I could be wrong here, but the CEO is at the mercy of the board as well in many situations. If they could just manage the company well without pressure to make decisions that benefit the shareholders more than the company itself, you would see more good CEOs.
Since they’re basically pressured into ruining companies a lot of the time, the only reasonable way to hire people is to offer them good severance packages and incentives to do so. If you really held them responsible, no one in their right mind would do it.

A proper sequel would be very cool, but I don’t think we can have such nice things.
The amount of people criticizing this is kind of crazy.
Even though this isn’t needed for wrapping burritos, it probably could be used somewhere. It’s a neat idea. I wonder how the edible tape is to eat though. Somehow the sticky nature seems like it’d be off-putting.

Abnorc@lemm.eeto Games@lemmy.world•Which games do you dislike, but the rest of the world loves them?English2·2 年前I enjoyed Dark Souls 1 and 2 a lot, having played through the first one multiple times. I never tried the others with the exception of Elden Ring, and the difficulty just put me off. Something about the first game made it much more tolerable for me. I think it was the overall speed at which enemies move and their combos being more predictable.

I just visited a site and selected the option to reject cookies. After doing this, the dialogue box would not go away, while a loading screen appeared. It was loading my new cookie preferences. This loading screen got stuck at 80% and hung there for almost a full minute.
