Lemmy does have a Karma system. It only had, and it’s visible in the API. It’s just not displayed in the default GUI.

The irony here is that you’re reposting my post from two weeks – a post about how karma is bullshit – presumably to generate more bullshit karma for yourself.
Another way to look at it is if karma doesn’t matter, I honestly could not care less about who reposts my posts or if I get credit for it. I hope it can just be fun to share dumb memes with the world.
