So, the previous comment is here: https://lemmy.blahaj.zone/comment/19538825

This is a good news update :)

Switched over to oral pills for now. The pills are 2mg each, breakable into two.

I had a hunch that the dose of estradiol pills was again also low, as I had to take two doses, one in the morning and one in the evening, but still felt hot flashes after 6 hours. My doctor thought it’d be the heatwave, and that seemed possible, until I noticed I felt it even after the heatwave. So I decided to consult the trusted source.

Going by the Transfem Science guide, I amped up my dose to 3, with the extra pill being in the noon. Pills have a short half-life compared to injections, but nonetheless. Maybe their half life is longer than spray, which could also explain it, but still.

Pill taken around 8:30 or 9:00. Blood test at 13:10.
This is about 4 hours later, as per recommendations.

    Results:

    Total T, 0.599 nmol/L
    Free T, 6.5 pmol/L
    Estradiol, 582 pmol/L

Other notable results are that the SHBG levels have risen from a stable 10.3-25 nmol/L to 71.3, which might be due to the oral method.

All with all, though, this has now finally shown success! I’m now finally within cis levels after 16 months 😎

So, to all that use Lenzetto spray, my recommendation is: switch away from it already, it’s extremely ineffective.

I am now switching to using it sublingually, until I figure how to get injections.

I think I’ll try to keep it between 400-800, ideally on the higher end, as if I’m not mistaken, cis women report feeling better during the ovulatory phase(?). I’m thinking that maybe I could try to vary, as some people notice a growth spurt when they switch over to other methods of E. So I could do it like:

Week 1: take 2 pills (follicular)
Week 2: take 3 pills, 4 on Sat (follicular, ovulation)
Week 3: take 3 pills (luteal)
Week 4: take 2 pills (luteal)

Is that an idea? How could I do it better?

Tagging @will_steal_your_username@lemmy.blahaj.zone cus this is interesting for ya too

While I personally believe there might be some benefit to simulating a cycle I just wish to stress that it will be experimental and there is no data that suggests there are benefits. This might be because there is no data! So it might work. But it might not.

So long as your levels are sane and you’re suppressing T there shouldn’t be any issues tmk. Hope it works out, and please report back how it goes for you!
