During its WWDC 2026 keynote on Monday, Apple briefly showed a slide with hundreds of new features and enhancements coming across iOS 27, macOS 27 Golden Gate, watchOS 27, tvOS 27, and visionOS 27. All of the software updates are currently available as developer betas, and they are expected to be released to all users in September. Advanced Data Protection OFF --> Apple has the decryption key for your data in iCloud
Advanced Data Protection ON --> The encryption key is kept on your devices only (and icloud.com doesn’t work without prior authorisation/key exchange from you, and then only for a specified time)
Should’ve fixed iCloud (on browser) crashing bc of fonts… I’m probably the one person who uses iCloud for browser.
Are you not using the “Advanced Data Protection”?
It’s seems overkill. Advanced protection for what. I already Mfa into it.
Without it enabled, Apple and/or any gov agency is able to see your files in iCloud.
