Spotted on the short trail down to the viewing platform at Blackwater Falls, in West Virginia. Once again I had the wrong lens on, and decided I could not be bothered to lug the 200-800 just to be able to take a picture of 1/8 of a waterfall, so the RF 24-240 it is and this is what we got.

This one was being quite noisy.
Cardellina canadensis is another one I’m quite certain I’ve never spotted before or if I did, I probably just pegged it as a goldfinch or something. These must be migrating through, because that area is not in either of their seasonal haunts.

Awesome waterfall. We don’t have any near where I’m at unfortunately. I’m supposed to be going to the upper peninsula of Michigan next month and I’ll have to get photos of theirs. I don’t have any good wider angle lenses tho…
I’ve not seen this warbler yet. Thanks for sharing. I went out yesterday and today and the warblers are back in a big way. I saw at least 15 different species and the ruby-throated hummers are back too!
