    Steve Albini is dead. Since almost 2 years. I didn’t even know!

    So much respect for his work, but I never liked this album. I first heard it when I was into the Pixies and it felt like: sounds like Pixies, but without any of the songwriting qualities. That impression hasn’t changed in the decades since. Sorry Mr Albini, you still have my full respect, and producing/mixing is just a different kind of creative work.

      Hey, yah, BB had a totally different approach to music than Pixies. I got into Balck Francis’ band in 87 and it never occurred to me to compare them to Big Black. I’m no musician though so maybe I’m missing something there.
