I mean a real world test is nice but shouldn’t it be clear from the start that the bridge is easily handling the weight?
Yes, I’m also surprised. Is that often done after bridges are completed? I would expect more trust in the process.
Maybe there’s good reason the local population would mistrust the rated capacity of a bridge. Why is there a new bridge, what happened to the old one? Cutting corners, corruption, both? We don’t know.
