From Life Magazine’s August 9, 1948 issue. Philippe Halsman is famous for asking famous people to jump. For his photo of Salvador Dalí, they went above and beyond. Halsman’s assistants threw those cats at least 26 times, but the cats were apparently unharmed and dry. We can’t say the same for Halsman and his assistants.
