Computers can accept multiple inputs at the same time just fine. A mouse and a keyboard are two completely separate controllers. It’s up to the game developers to make it work.

In Just Cause 3 I’d use mouse and keyboard for shooting and grab my 360 controller whenever I was in a vehicle

GTA 5, you can move with the controller and aim with the mouse.

Assuming this is a question on why someone do that, wasd isn’t great. Plus, I’m lazy and my keyboard is put away.

It’s great for the Steam Deck. Gyro is much better when it’s emulating a mouse than it is when emulating an analogue stick.
