If you think that you’d be treated differently entering USA in undesignated point of entry… You’d be right. If you didn’t get shot on the spot, you’d rot in jail for decades until somebody decides to deal with your case.

Are catios not common? Audubon society in Portland has yearly tour of them in Portland. https://www.feralcats.com/catio

My neighborhood fits that description and we have tons of kids going through. About 50% of the houses were participating. Adults had parties at driveways too. Oh and it was raining. Apparently doesn’t stop anybody in Oregon.

I’m somewhat computer literate. Used Linux for close to 15 years, but I’m a user, not a wizard level or ricer. Currently running OpenSuse tw on my laptop. So last month I did your normal distribution upgrade and everything broke. I honestly don’t know how computer illiterate people would deal with that. Turned out new kernel broke my system for unknown reasons and I had to switch to stable kernel instead. It wasn’t easy for me even with forum help. For some people it would be impossible.
Although I agree with the sentiment, I would NEVER expect anybody to entertain my kids. I would just pack them up and gone home. My kids are my burden to bear.

Whatever this is is not charming.

So they get compensated about quarter of their yearly expenses with this btw bill. If they had an equivalent of this in us I’d get about 6k yearly from gvmt for each child. Not too shabby in my book.

This article talks about cost “relative to its GDP per capita.” In the proposal they give flat sum of money. So we are comparing Apple to oranges. Not saying you’re wrong, but I still would like to know how much is daycare per month in China. I know in us I pay 2k per month. I doubt it’s the same there.

In US I assume. How much does childcare cost in China?
Hot take. Fireworks are stupid and disruptive.

I had no idea it got so expensive. It’s been ages since I had any interest eating there.
There’s also kumir. It was(is?) used to teach kids how to program. I first learned programming using it many years ago. I still think that it made me a better programmer than people who were using Pascal instead. They were both popular in schools at the time.
And that kids why you should never shill for US. They’ll discard you as soon as your usefulness runs out.
