As a Norwegian i fully support zero. However, I think it depends a lot on the society you live in. Ideally the child learns how to fend for themselves, but if it meant a high probability of serious complications maybe no. For example if breaking a leg puts you into life altering debt

6·3 months agoReally. So they threw out tons of experience, put themselves in a desperate situation and hired back (hopefully the same people, but likely new) people for (likely) higher salaries?

My strategy is to tell my view of things when the topic arise, then entertain/ignore/poke holes in their arguments when I can depending on energy levels and patience that day
Yeah. Seen this story before. Google will shit all over AOSP, and it will slowly start hurting more and more. Thought I’d give a full blown Linux mobile distro a go this time around. Maybe even get to contribute some
I just got myself a fairphone gen 6. I want to put postmarket OS on it, but had a kind of rough start. Haven’t gotten it working yet :(
I’ve been very happy with Ardour. It’s a full digital audio workspace though. Like the other comment mentioned, audacity is a simpler alternative

Been running arch on all my computers for almost two decades, including my work computers the past 6 years. I find arch very reliable. Aur enabled.
Gotta say though, the experience leveled up after I started using ThinkPad’s. I guess the hardware fits quite well.
As for the bleeding edge strategy from my perspective; if you do something a lot, you tend to get good at it. In my opinion stability in spite of bleeding edge software was or is just a matter of time
I see way more “China is good”-propaganda than any other nation or group of nations
Edit: they are also quick to downvote, delete my comment or ban me when I write things like this
If China is so great, why the constant need for propaganda?
The right to use adblockers? This is my device. I bought it. I have ownership. I decide what and who gets to run code on it. Write what you want in lawyerspeak in contracts designed to prevent me from reading and/or understanding it. You can’t redefine ownership

Kinda hard to compare when china is so good at controlling what information comes out
