Last I saw on BBOARD, they’re actively restoring the database.
As an aside, while I do appreciate the updates on BBOARD, I feel lemmy updates would be useful on lemmy

it’s a fucking christmas miracle
Don’t fret, qrstuv still has yet to prove that this video has bees.
BBOARD is the bulletin board system accessible when you SSH in to the “real” SDF
As chief Funhole moderator, does that make you the president of F.U.C.C. or are you considered to be in a management role?

Reply received. They’ve reiterated the need for more disk space and new fans, and have given the server model: HP DL360 Gen9.
Didn’t get anything about cost estimates or giving status updates on Lemmy directly.

Last few outages they commented on BBOARD that the server hardware has some issues (insufficient storage space, faulty fans) and the funding allocated to Lemmy is running short. I’ve asked for a break-down of the upgrade/replacement costs and for some understanding of how membership fees (for ARPAs and MetaARPAs) get allocated into the various services, not heard back yet. My one wish is that someone on the admin side would provide updates on Lemmy about Lemmy affairs, I’m not too sure how often the Lemmy userbase checks BBOARD for news. I’d hope that with some better communication on the issues faced they could get some more support.

They tend to be far more active and reactive to outage reports on BBOARD. Though I honestly don’t know how many lemmy users are checking BBOARD.

Finished my fight against the flu. I was the victor.
Saw on bboard that the server storage is filling up, new hard drives are required
Hi,
There’s been some previous discussion about this here: https://lemmy.sdf.org/post/53342151
Cheers!
