Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•Best electric toothbrush, Philips or Oral-B
43·10 days agoI’ve had my Phillips Sonicare for years and love it. My dental hygienists also compliment me on my home care when I go in for cleanings so I recommend that one highly!

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•What is a piece of media that literally changed the world/had a real world impact?
42·10 days agoJennifer Lopez’s green Versace dress was the reason Google Images was created:
Pfft, lube is for bitches. I stick the condoms in the freezer before doing the horizontal monster mash. More refreshing than a popsicle on a hot summer’s day!
The first time I used one the water came out ice cold. Damn near hit the ceiling and worked better than coffee at waking me up!
I envy those people. My friend’s BF finds 2x Buldak to not be spicy at all. Meanwhile I can only use half a packet of the sauce or I’ll be in literal tears.

News@lemmy.world•50 middle schoolers were served pretzels with oven cleaner as seasoning: lawsuit
71·11 days agoThat and I believe the lye used in pretzels and other foods like lutefisk has to be food grade. I make soap so I use lye quite regularly, but to mistake it for salt when it looks NOTHING LIKE IT is a very special kind of incompetent. My god if I were one of the parents I would be inconsolably angry, that’s so fucking dangerous!

7·12 days agoI saw it earlier today and loved it! Reminded me of how my friends and I would bypass our school’s blocks on Ebaumsworld just to watch the Numa Numa guy. Also Kelly (the “Shoes” guy) looks exactly the same

112·12 days agoPay attention! Remedy is like the Twin Peaks of video game studios so paying attention to the plot as well as reading everything in the appendices and the documents uncover is vital.
Also HIGHLY recommend playing Alan Wake and Alan Wake 2 if you haven’t already. Same studio and a connected universe!

21·12 days agoI’d happily welcome one into the restroom! I’m not trans but I AM lactose intolerant. And I feel the need. The need…for CHEESE.

Games@lemmy.world•Ubisoft reportedly wasted 3 years turning Beyond Good & Evil 2 into a live-service Fortnite killer, but now it's a single-player-focused game with co-opEnglish
162·12 days agoJesus H the gaming industry sucks so much ass right now. Not everything needs to be live service and multiplayer. Games like Clair Obscur and Baldur’s Gate 3, along with the hype for the now cancelled Mass Effect show there’s still plenty of demand for single player, story driven games. I don’t understand how companies are so out of touch that they pump out sloppy live service shit no one wants or asks for and then scratch their heads wondering why it fails. LISTEN TO THE PUBLIC FFS

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•What movie terrified you as a child? Or what character?
52·14 days agoET. I’d have nightmares so bad that my dad had to sleep in my room because I was so terrified of him (I’d dream he was walking on my bed). He still freaks me out!

News@lemmy.world•Christina Applegate says she was misdiagnosed with MS—how could that happen?
31·16 days agoMy BIL and I (a girl) both had terrible stomach issues, something I had been dealing with for almost 7 years before he got his issues. Within a year and a half he was diagnosed with severe celiac and kidney stones and is now perfectly pain free. Meanwhile I’ve now been dealing with my issues for 9 years, had a laporoscopy that helped a bit, and have a medication that helps most of the time, but I still get horrible flare ups now and then with my doctors shrugging their shoulders and telling me that’s life.
I’m so happy for my BIL to be healed but I can’t help but be enraged that I’m still dealing with my issues with little to no answers.
I may have to dabble with that (I make soap)
