I don’t hate the concept as is, I hate how it is being marketed and shoved everywhere and into everything by sheer hype and the need for returns on the absurd amounts of money that were thrown at it.

Companies use it to justify layoffs, create cheap vibed up products, delegate responsibilities to an absolutely not sentient or intelligent computer program. Not even mentioning the colossal amount of natural and financial resources being thrown down this drain.

I read a great summary yesterday somewhere on here that essentially said “they took a type of computer model made to give answers to very specific questions it has been trained on, and then trained it on everything to make a generalist”. Except that doesn’t work, the broader the spectrum the model is covering the less accurate it will be.

Identifying skin cancer? Perfect tool for the job.

Giving drones the go ahead on an ambiguous target? Providing psychological care to people in distress? FUCK NO.

  • I am curious, how is india and pakistan doing what they do best a cause for a global conflict? In the two last ones it was a bunch of european states tied together through silly treaties and pacts and a whole lot of countries coming together to stamp out the nazis, respectively.

India and pakistan are neighbors and essentially two sides of the same coin with different religions, and as far as i know have no defensive pacts with any major outside power. So even if they went to full blown war it would stay fairly confined to the region, no? Excluding considerations such as trade impact of course.

  • I’m just saying, rich men can pick and choose from gorgeous women. Being physically attractive isn’t enough, those dynamics stop working when serious money and/or status is involved. They will choose women who have more going on for them than that, provided they are even okay with a transactional relationship. Rich marries rich.

And then, if you get “in” so to say, you definitely should expect to be reduced to the transactional nature of the relationship. He pays for everything, so you are expected to fulfill the role of a fuckmaid. Once you are no longer as attractive as the other 20somethings looking to land a rich husband he will likely cheat on you and/or just divorce you. With a prenup.
