“We will be advocating for its full protection, perhaps by setting up a marine protected area around it,”
I was glad to read that, particularly after an earlier quote saying the reef was “producing more fish for communities and supporting livelihoods”, which just sounded like it was going to get exploited and destroyed now it was rediscovered. Hopefully they’ve kept the location a secret until they can get the protection in place.

It always seemed weird that it wasn’t part of the base browser, but it still had references to it baked in.
I find containers extremely useful, so making this feature easier to use for more people sounds good.

I’m not OP, but I use Caddy as a reverse proxy, which generates a wildcard TLS certificate with proof of domain ownership via their Cloudflare integration (who host my DNS). At some point I’ll move off Cloudflare but I never intend to host my own DNS (or email).

Sometimes it takes several listens for me to appreciate a track; sometimes those tracks become my favourites from the album.

I really doubt Tolkien would be in favour of this.

I thought parts felt like AI and parts felt like a British human writing it.
AI(?):
But here is the thing: this is a Volta GPU with 16GB of HBM2 memory, 5120 CUDA cores, and I picked it up for about £150 on eBay. The compute is still real. The VRAM is still real. And the memory bandwidth is where it gets genuinely surprising.
Human (?):
So I shoved some jumper wires into the connector and jammed the other ends into a spare fan header (turn your volume up)
I suspect he’s used some AI polishing tool to turn his draft into a publishable post.

There’s an ancient lakebed in Chad that supplies dust that blows across the Atlantic and delivers phosphorus to Amazon rainforests - phosphorus that is needed to support plant growth. Those long-dead organisms are still in the food chain. Life uuh finds a way.
I wonder if it was weird for pets in houses when the TV got upgraded from CRT to LCD - now the flickery box that the humans stare at is thin and showing these flat moving pictures.
“Herbal medicine’s been around for thousands of years!” Indeed it has, and then we tested it all, and the stuff that worked became ‘medicine’. And the rest of it is just a nice bowl of soup and some potpourri.
From Dara Ó Briain. Also from him:
Chinese medicine, oh, Chinese medicine! “But there are billions of Chinese, Chinese medicine must be working.” Here’s the skinny on Chinese medicine. A hundred years ago the average life expectancy in China was 30. The life expectancy in China at the moment is 73. And it’s not feckin’ tiger penis that turned it around for the Chinese. Didn’t do much for the tiger, if you don’t mind me pointing out.
I recently bought a new joystick just to play IL-2 Sturmovik and I-War. A great haul, congrats.

No worries, I’m sure one of these will work. The myabandonware.com link includes the manual and I believe the DOS version was the best so I’ll give that a go once I’ve dug out my joystick.

Are you looking at the one called MechWarriorQuadrology?
I’d also found https://www.myabandonware.com/game/mechwarrior-2-31st-century-combat-34i and also a portable MW2 that some redditor put together.

No, it’s just on their “dreamlist”: https://www.gog.com/dreamlist/game/mech-warrior-2-1999
I thought that one came from TikTok.

What’s to stop someone from getting AI to do it, or just replying “LGTM”?

How has Microsoft bollocksed up using SQLite?

You get an upvote for spelling lede correctly.

I think a lot of voters don’t really read or think about a comment, just respond on vibes.
I looked in the modlog for why you were banned, and it just says “reason: automod”. Might be worth contacting the mods there since I can’t see any reason why the bot banned you.
